One new collaboration that has really caught my eye recently has been the Jeff Koons and Louis Vuitton bags with the familiar paintings printed onto the bags such as the Mona Lisa which is probably my favourite as it is a painting I have seen in real life when I was younger. Obviously Louis Vuitton bags have been and always be desirable, popular bags that everyone seems to love! They seem to be almost timeless and loved by all ages. Jeff Koons is an artist known for turning kitsch images and objects into art, he looks into the past and brings back brilliant things from there which he loves, such as these paintings used on the bags. I find this collaboration very interesting and fun.
I think in a way this will also increase museum and gallery visits with fine art and old paintings being seen as cool and trendy again. People will now hopefully see them as luxurious and high end, they will be more desirable to the younger generations who usually wouldn't be bothered with them. I personally don't think I wouldn't want to own one as it is not my usual style and I much prefer classic timeless pieces and accessories I can match with a variety of outfits, these bags would be difficult to style and I find them a little bit tacky. What do you think about them?
Thankyou for reading,
Love from Georgia
